Dr. Koby Nahmias is the Director of the Center of Bioengineering at Hebrew University. Dr. Nahmias and his team are developing 'humans-on-a-chip,' which are miniature models of human metabolism by integrating microfluidics with human cells. This project combines microfabrication with tissue engineering to construct a human-on-a-chip platform as an alternative to animal studies.
